SHOPPERS and football fans are being warned to expect traffic delays in Newcastle city centre tomorrow.
A parade by the Territorial Army, to commemorate St George's Day, will march from the city's Civic Centre, in Barrass Road, to St Nicholas Cathedral for a service at 11am, and then make its way back at 12.30pm.
A series of rolling road closures will affect St Mary's Place, Percy Street, Newgate Street, Bigg Market, Groat Market, Lower Westgate Road, Collingwood Street, Mosley Street and St Nicholas Street.
The problems will be exacerbated as football fans will arrive in the city at about the same time to see Newcastle United's 2pm clash with Chelsea at St James' Park.
