THE newest recruits to join The Guards left their North Yorkshire training camp with the best wishes of a former leader of the Conservative Party.
William Hague took the salute at Number 21 Platoon's passing out parade at Helles Barracks at Catterick Garrison's Infantry Training Centre, yesterday, before mingling with the young soldiers and their families at a reception afterwards.
