GOVERNMENT safety inspectors may look into an accident in which a man's arm was crushed on Thursday.
As reported in The Northern Echo yesterday, the unnamed 24-year-old, from South Bank, near Middlesbrough, was airlifted to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital from a farm in east Cleveland.
The man was working at a tyre reprocessing plant at Come Bank Farm, near Boosbeck, when he caught his hand in a conveyor belt, it emerged yesterday.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said it was considering the need for an investigation.
