A WEBSITE celebrating North-East dialects has won a prize from The Northern Echo.
The site, created by the TeesSpeak group, has been chosen Pick of the Month for April by CommuniGate, the paper's community website team.
Community web editor Andrew Hutton said: "We chose the site because of its informative and colourful analysis of the various dialects of the North-East, mainly those from the lower Tees region. The site contains many interesting quotes and opinions and is definitely worth exploring."
Mr Hutton presented site creator Vic Wood, from Yearby, east Cleveland, with his prize of a pair of digital binoculars, donated by Darlington-based Sales and Marketing Services.
