ART by young people with learning and behavioural difficulties has been given pride of place at a university.
The exhibition, being staged at the University of Durham's Queen's Campus at Thornaby, near Stockton, opened yesterday.
It features paintings by children at the Abbey Hill Special School in Stockton and is open daily from 10am to 7pm in the Holliday Building. Lynn Bilsborough, of the campus's school of education, said: "The exhibition is a reflection of the successful partnership which has evolved between the University of Durham and Abbey Hill while setting up our primary education degree programme. The pupils' work will be enjoyed by hundreds of people from across the region during our busy conference season."
