Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to abduct a teenage girl.
The 16-year-old was making her way home after a night out in Thornaby when a burgundy Ford Fiesta drove alongside her after 11pm on Friday night.
One of the occupants grabbed her and tried to force her into the car. The girl managed to break free and ran off uninjured, but shaken.
However, as she made of from the scene she saw two men chase the car and police would like these men to get in touch.
A 25-year-old Middlesbrough man was arrested on Monday and a further two men, a 22-year-old from Thornaby and a 28-year-old from Middlesbrough, were arrested today.
They are currently being questioned by detectives.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have any information about the incident and in particular the two men.
