Construction has been completed to transform a derelict piece of land close to Wellington Square Shopping Centre, in Stockton, which is about to become a home entertainment complex.
Home Entertainment Corporation, trading as Choices Video, will open on June 4, once the internal shop fit and finishing touches have been completed.
Wellington Square Development Company, which owns the land, has invested about £300,000 in the project, with Home Entertainment Corporation investing a further £150,000 to turn the 3,485sq ft building into a modern store.
Rob Gildersleeve, centre manager at Wellington Square Shopping Centre, said: "We are very much looking forward to welcoming Choices Video to the centre and are confident the store will do extremely well because of its prime location and excellent parking facilities."
Choices Video is one of the largest and most successful home entertainment chains in the UK, with 212 stores nationwide.
The company has also won the UK Rental Retailer of the Year award between 1997 and 2001 at the British Video Awards.
As well as offering videos, DVDs and games to rent or buy, the company also stocks a range of games consoles and accessories, DVD players, mobile phones and snacks.
