FORMULA Three action comes to Croft this weekend for the first of three headline events over the coming months.
With a superb line-up of supporting races as well as the UK's premier single seater championship, the Bank Holiday weekend event promises to be an exciting spectacle for fans who will get the chance to see Grand Prix stars of the future in action.
Leading the championship is Nelson Piquet Junior who is aiming to emulate his father's achievements in winning the Formula One World Championship.
The young Brazilian has yet to win a race this year but has shown remarkable consistency by finishing on the rostrum in all three races to date.
With the last round at Silverstone washed out, plenty of other drivers will be keen to stamp their mark on proceedings at Croft, including Britain's James Rossiter, Irishman Adam Carroll and Monegasque resident Clivio Piccione, all of whom have won a race so far this season.
While the two feature races will take centre stage, the support races provide the usual share of spills and thrills, none more so than the Carlube TVR Challenge drivers. The awesome noise of these powerful V8 machines, coupled with some uncompromising driving, makes them popular with the crowd.
Also in action on Sunday will be drivers contesting the UK Formula Ford Championship, Volkswagen Racing Cup and the AVO Ginetta Championship, while Saturday will see races for the Dunlop Radical Enduro Championship and the Matador Tyres Radical Biduro Championship.
Saturday's action starts with qualifying from 9.15am and the first of five races begins at 12.10pm. Sunday will see racing from 12.10pm with a total of nine races during the course of the afternoon.
Adult admission costs £10 on Saturday and £20 on Sunday with accompanied children under 15 admitted free. Grandstand seating costs an extra £7. Further information is available from Claire Jones on 01325 721815.
