A NEWLY-established computer company in the region is working with Microsoft.
Arkitec was co-founded by two information technology specialists in September, and is still run from their homes in County Durham and Newcastle.
The company is training Microsoft's partners and customers and has helped to write a guide to Microsoft's patterns and practices and integrating them with other computer programmes.
Arkitec's expertise in integrating computer systems is in demand, as many large organisations operate a mix of technologies in their IT systems.
Business Link County Durham is supporting Arkitec through its growth programme.
Arkitec partner and co-founder Keith Organ has spent three weeks presenting workshops to Microsoft customers and business partner David Aiken was guest speaker at an international conference in Barcelona.
As well as its work with Microsoft, the company provides IT training, software development and consultancy to businesses, ranging from UK media companies to Hewlett Packard.
The business has benefited from Business Link's High Growth programme, which can offer financial advice to small start-up businesses.
