JULIA Breen has been appointed to the newly-created post of Deputy Business Editor at The Northern Echo.
The 25-year-old has worked at the newspaper for the past two-and-a-half years in a number of posts, including Education Correspondent and as Darlington District Reporter.
Julia is no stranger to business reporting, having been responsible for the Darlington Business Focus coverage and working on the business desk.
Before joining The Northern Echo, Julia was a rep- orter at the News and Star evening newspaper in Carlisle, Cumbria.
