Two Darlington schools are set for new developments if councillors give the go-ahead.

Plans have been submitted for a new storage building at the rear of Dodmire Infants School.

It will provide space for outside play equipment and shelter for pupils in adverse weather conditions.

The playground at Reid Street Primary School could also be refurbished, with new activity courses, running tracks and a netball court.

Both schemes are expected to be approved by the borough council's planning committee on Wednesday.
