TELEVISION celebrity Loyd Grossman had the chance to compare pedal power to piston power when he called in at one of the region's leading attractions this week.
The presenter visited the National Railway Museum (NRM), in York, to launch Museums and Galleries month.
He is the chairman of the Campaign for Museums and this month's country-wide celebrations are in recognition of the importance of regional museums.
"It provides an opportunity to celebrate the huge investment already made in regional museums and galleries and the great contribution they make to the local economy," said Loyd.
This year's theme is Travel and the Art of Travelling.
Loyd said: "This is a good time to take a trip away from home to explore museums and galleries further afield."
