League Cup Final, Lingdale Tavern v Highland Laddie: Although Tavern were minus two key players in Ward and Calvert they began well.

A lively start saw both teams probing for an opening. Tavern had the first real chance, Shane Breckon firing a snap shot which was well saved by Bennett. As the teams settled Lawther and Combellack began to probe the Tavern defence while at the other end Thompson and Darcy played in the two Breckons. Laddie took the lead in the 30th minute when Combellack played the ball across the park to Kandell whose strong shot found the bottom corner for the only goal of the first half. The game opened up even more in the second period with Lingdale pressurising and creating chances. A Breckon shot was saved by Bennett before Tavern found the equaliser in the 70th minute. A Brown cross reached Ball who turned well and crashed the ball home from close range. With the score still level at the end of 90 minutes the game went to extra time when Lawther scored past the injured Tavern keeper, Moore. Laddie increased their lead in the second session, despite increased pressure from Tavern.

Dickinson's pace took him clear to fire Laddie's third. With minutes remaining Tavern were awarded a penalty, Shane Breckon made no mistake with a cracking shot, setting up a nervy last few minutes. The closing seconds saw a good effort from Ball deflected over the bar dashing Taverns hopes of a League and Cup treble.

League: Lingdale Utd v Staithes Ath

Lingdale went ahead after only ten minutes when a clever free kick from Jody Evans found Hololob unmarked for him to slot past a bemused Staithes defence. The visitors almost equalised but a cracking drive from Armstrong was bravely saved by Lingdale keeper, Gibson. Just minutes later however, a defensive error gave Armstrong a second chance and with Gibson stranded his shot this time found the target. With only minutes of the first half remaining Mike Head headed in giving the Staithes keeper, Moore, no chance. Almost immediately Lingdale notched up a third this time Hololb beating the keeper. The home side started the second half well, Sleeman, Hololb and Iseton all came close to adding to the score, however a brave performance from Moore kept the score at 3-1.

Whitby Fishermen v Loftus Ath

Fishermen were first out of the blocks, a good ball to Draper saw him take two touches then place the ball past Brown for a 1-0 lead. Loftus seemed a little disorganised and Fishermen took advantage with great work from Woods, Martin and Draper. Draper was again one on one with keeper, Brown and coolly finished for his second. The game became scrappy with football taking a back seat as Loftus pulled a goal back when a disputed free kick was not collected by Harland and Wilson knocked in the rebound. Fishermen again attempted to play football and Woods was able to take a good ball from Roldan to make it 3-1. Then a slack period of play in the Fishermen midfield resulted in the ball being gifted to Loftus, Brown scoring from a tight angle to make it 3-2 at half time. The second half again proved to be a battle with Loftus changing keepers and putting Brown up front. A slack period of play saw Roldan give the ball away to Loftus and Bowes crossed for Brown to equalise. With 20 minutes to go Draper was fouled and Fishermen were awarded a penalty but Wood's low shot was well saved by Barritt. With ten minutes left Draper was rewarded for his hard work when he completed his hat-trick and give Fishermen the three points.
