AFTER using up one of his nine lives when he was attacked by a dog, a homeless cat is looking for a new owner who can give him a name.
The silver tabby was taken into care in Darlington after an elderly woman, who fed him occasionally, found him lying in her back yard with his leg mauled.
The two-year-old cat escaped having his leg amputated and staff at the National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL) have helped nurse him back to health.
Now the cat is looking for an owner to give him a home and a name.
"We haven't actually given him his own name, I don't know why," said Pauline Wilson, from the NASSL.
"He has the most wonderful temperament, he is absolutely fabulous and so cuddly. He deserves to go to a loving home after what he has been through."
Anyone interested in adopting the cat,or any of the cats and kittens at the NASSL, is asked to call (01325) 321855.
