LINE dancers will step out in style tomorrow to raise money for a leading cancer charity.
Boldon Community Association Line Dancers are holding a 12-hour marathon with live music during a fun day at the association's centre in New Road, Boldon Colliery, South Tyneside.
The event is in aid of Cancer Research UK and anyone who fancies joining in is welcome.
Event organiser Dee Hart, the centre's line dancing teacher, said: "The event promises to be a great day out for all the family.
"We welcome people of all ages and dancing ability. It doesn't matter if you've been dancing for years or if this is your first time.
"It costs £5 to join in and all the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK. Taking part is a great way to have fun, exercise and support life-saving research at the same time."
Live music wil come from Denver Highway, Jim Clark, Tom Dean and Brian Hart.
The fun day starts at 10am and will feature a variety of stalls selling handicrafts, cakes and western wear. There will also be raffles and a tombola stall.
Suzanne McKenna, community fund-raiser for Cancer Research UK, said: "This is a fantastic way to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and we are most grateful to the Boldon Community Association and the Boldon Line Dancers for all their support."
