Brandon started the season with a 106 runs victory over Ushaw Moor after posting the healthy total of 140 for one compiled from just 20 overs.
Jamie Robinson led the way, recording one six and seven boundaries in 68 while Ian Hyde carried his bat for 52 including four fours.
When they replied, Ushaw Moor were all out for just 34 and man of the match Robinson captured four wickets for just three runs in four overs. He was ably assisted in the attack by Hyde, Tom Orton and Thomas Curry who all took a couple of wickets.
Etherley had eight wickets to spare defeating Mainsforth whom they restricted to 61 for five. Top scorer was Beattie with 18 and for Etherley Daniel Lee claimed two wickets for two runs in two overs.
Lee then added the useful 19 runs and Richard Wells contributed 28 to Etherley's match-winning reply of 62 for two.
Rain stopped plat at Esh Winning with the game at an interesting stage. Langley Park were 25 without loss needing 95 for victory. K Brennan was undefeated on 13 and Anthony Dinsdale was 12 not out.
When Esh winning batted first and posted 94 for three most of their runs came from David Thornton who in a fine innings struck one six and seven boundaries in an unbeaten 49.
Willington comfortably defeated Washington whom they reduced to 37 all out as Broadley took three wickets for seven runs and Harker three for eight.
Alderson top scored with 74 as Willington realised 131 for the loss of just two wickets when they made first use of the wicket.
Sedgefield had five wickets to spare at Tudhoe. The home side managed just 54 and the majority of the runs came from Ross Hodgson with 32. Thompson claimed two for 21 for Sedgefield who replied with 55 for five. Daniel Petts had a good night with the ball for Tudhoe with two wickets costing just six runs in three overs.
