CHARITY bosses will benefit from concerts by local musicians next month.
Two events, Promenade for Youth and A Last Night of the Proms, will be staged at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, on Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15.
Proceeds will go to St Teresa's Hospice, Darlington Mind charity and the Corps of Army Music Trust.
The event, then known as the Musical Extravaganza, was first held in 1993, having been organised to help fund the building of a day centre for Age Concern.
This year's events will feature hundreds of local musicians.
The Last Night of the Proms, on the Saturday, will feature Helen Kelly, winner of this year's local Young Soprano competition.
