In the Premier Division Consett Saint Patricks are Premier Division champions. Having beaten Metro Church, Sunderland three weeks ago 5-0, the return fixture was at Belle Vue Consett where both teams needed a win to go to the last match of the season. John Christer and Andrew Murray gave Consett a great start to make it 2-0.
After the break Gary Thomas (2) and Noel Harrison put Metro 3-2 in front. Murray got his second, two from Neil James and a shot from John Lidster gave Consett a 6-3 win with Metro in the runner's up spot.
At the bottom, Airport Church Newcastle needed to gain the same result or better than Jesmond Parish Athenians to stay up or vice versa for Athenians to stay up.
Airport were at home to Athenians first team Jesmond Parish Church. Early in the match Steven Taylor opened the scoring for Airport, Ben Oliver added a double before half-time, after an hour an own goal gave Airport a 4-0 lead. Tim Hawk pulled a goal back, Alastair Gibson made it 4-2 at 90 minutes, the referee played an extra five minutes added on time with Gibson getting his second. Airport held on to stay in the premier division with a 4-3 win.
At Saint Peter's Low Fell Andy Watson put the Saints ahead, Jason Alexander equalised for Athenians. Although Athenians had most of the game and pushed and pushed, it wasn't their day and have been relegated after one season in the Premier Division.
Heworth Christian Fellowship travelled to Ryton Churches. Bryan Gilmour and Peter Sutherland gave Ryton a 2-0 lead, Andy Shaw got Heworth back in to the game but two goals from substitute Chris Barkless gave Ryton a 4-1 win.
Division One saw Bethshan Christian Centre promoted even though they lost. Whitley Bay Churches opened the scoring from the penalty spot from Rob Lewis and Chris Strafford made it 2-0. Bethshan's substitute Steven Longhurst scored for 2-1. Bethshan had a chance to equalise from the penalty spot but Bay keeper Darren Gardner saved the shot for Whitley Bay to win 2-1.
Lanchester Chapel missed their chance to secure second, drawing with bottom club Saint Aidan's Chapel, Castington. Michael Lee scored for the Saints in the first half. Andrew Sword scored in the 85th minute for a 1-1 draw.
After losing midweek to Youth Ministry team in the league cup, Yarm Emmanuel bounced back to beat Saint John's Snod's Edge 2-1. Ray Wilkenson opened the scoring for the Saints, with Marc Dale and Tim Boyes scoring for Yarm.
Youth Ministry Team have lost once all season and had their first drawn match against All Saints Church, Preston-on-Tees. Lee Dixon scored for Youth with Richie Robinson netting for All Saints.
Heaton Hearts had a comfortable win over Bethshan Athletic with Martin Paton scoring once and two from Aaron Parsons for a 3-0 win.
