A ROYAL Air Force display pilot is preparing for his first show of the season tomorrow.
Flight Lieutenant Dave Harvey, from RAF Leeming, will perform at locations in the UK and Europe throughout the summer, including Blackpool, Portrush, North-umberland County Show, Windermere, Isle of Man, and Orange and Dijon in France.
His first display will be at the Abingdon Fayre.
Fl Lt Harvey, 42, has been in the RAF since 1981 and is an instrument rating examiner and checking officer.
He has flown a total of 5,900 hours, of which 4,600 are on the Hawk, making him one of the most experienced Hawk pilots in the RAF.
This will be Fl Lt Harvey's second season as the Strike Command Solo Hawk Display Pilot.
