PEOPLE in Darlington are being encouraged to rise and shine early tomorrow morning with the promise of a hearty breakfast.
Darlington Borough Council's countryside officers have organised an early-morning walk around Low Coniscliffe to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day. The two-mile stroll along part of the Teesdale Way will be led by Cliff Evans, from Darlington Wildlife Group.
Those taking part should meet at the layby west of the Baydale Beck pub, on the A67 Darlington to Barnard Castle road, at 5am, and should take binoculars. After the walk there will be a cooked breakfast served at Salutation Hall, Salutation Road, Darlington.
The walk and breakfast costs £2 for adults and £1 for children and concessions.
