The first annual conference of the Harrogate District Cultural Partnership is being held at Ripon Leisure Centre on June 18.
The event, supported by Harrogate Borough Council, is open to anyone from the Harrogate district, which includes Masham, Boroughbridge, Pateley Bridge, Ripon and Knaresborough, who has an interest in culture.
Invitations have been sent to arts organisations, charities, creative groups, parish and town councils, police, religious groups, village halls and youth workers.
Work began on the development of the first Harrogate District Cultural Strategy in 2001. Two years later, the strategy was agreed.
The conference will hear about the partnership's progress.
Plans and policies will be outlined and agreement sought on how to achieve them.
A spokesman for the organisers said the event would provide a chance for cultural groups and organisations to meet and share ideas.
The conference will be a combination of presentations, discussions and workshops.
"The emphasis will be on ensuring everyone is able to contribute and shape the future development of the district's cultural partnership," said the spokesman.
