PLANS for a children's play centre in Darlington are likely to be rejected.
Borough councillors are being advised to refuse an application from Landteam to use premises in Morton Park Way for the development.
Planning officers believe the facility could undermine existing provision for children in Darlington and are concerned about a children's centre being close to industrial units.
Landteam says the enterprise would create up to 40 jobs and that public transport to the site is good.
The council's planning committee will consider the proposal on Wednesday.
