MIDDLESBROUGH striker Danny Graham has refused to rule out the possibility of returning to Darlington next season.
The 18-year-old has been on loan with Quakers since April and is due to return to the Riverside after Saturday's final game of the season at Scunthorpe.
And while the Newcastle-born forward has set his sights on breaking into the Middlesbrough first-team picture next season, he is keeping his options open.
"If they talk about me coming back to Darlington then that would be something I would seriously consider," revealed Graham.
"After playing in the reserves at Middlesbrough it's been nice to get some first-team experience.
"Obviously my main aim is to break into the first-team at Middlesbrough but at the moment it's just good to be playing regularly."
Boro boss Steve McClaren will be delighted with the progress Graham has made across the A66.
The teenager has impressed in his six starts for Quakers, scoring twice and helping the club steer clear of relegation.
"I've been impressed with the standard of the Third Division, coming up against some strong players," said Graham.
"It's a lot more physical than I imagined, but I think I've adapted to it well."
Graham was on target in Saturday's defeat at home to Swansea.
"That's twice I've been on the scoresheet and we've lost so it is very disappointing," said Graham.
"We knew that is was important to keep our heads up because the season isn't finished even though we are safe.
"If we'd have beat Swansea we could have been looking towards the top half of the table. I think we let the fans down."
In his short time with the club Graham has been impressed with the supporters' backing during a difficult time.
"Apart from the Swansea game the lads have done well to make sure we're safe and I think the fans appreciate that," said Graham.
"It's been a great experience and I would like to think I've done well for the team.
"I have one game left and hopefully I can get another goal before I go back.
