MEMBERS of a theatre group's youth section have achieved excellent examination results.
Sedgefield Spys, the youth section of Sedgefield Players, held its annual certificate presentation in Sedgefield Parish Hall.
Society president Barry Jackson made the presentations and among the guests was the Mayor of Sedgefield, Councillor Linda Maddison.
High praise was given to the tutors, Jean Hewling and Sarah Atkinson, for their work with the young people.
The youngsters entertained the guests with poetry, prose, and acting, ranging from Shakespeare to Educating Rita.

Verse and prose: Grade 1 - Miguel Horton-Torres (pass); Grade 2 - Bethany Edwards (honours); Grade 3 - James Clarke (pass), Peter Hammond (distinction), Holly Atkinson (distinction), Janine Yaxley (distinction); Grade 4 - Mathew Woods (pass), Beth Speed (distinction); Grade 5 - Jamie-Lee Birchall (pass); Grade 6 - Kirsty Davison (pass), Jasmin Tate (distinction), Erin Evans (distinction), Eleanor Woods (distinction), Catherine Hudson (honours); Grade 7 - Thomas Coulson (honours), Nat Stephenson (honours); Grade 8 - Jenny Lowe (honours).
Acting: Grade 7 - Thomas Coulson (distinction); Bronze medal - Jenny Bowden (distinction), Alex Tate (honours).
