A NEW appeal for life-saving bone marrow donors has been made by a charity.
Working in conjunction with Northallerton Round Table, the Anthony Nolan Trust has organised a special session to encourage people to find out how to become donors.
They are particularly appealing for men and younger donors to come forward and be tested, as they make the most effective donors.
Volunteers joining the Anthony Nolan Trust Register must be aged between 18 and 40, in good general health, weigh over 8st and be willing to donate stem cells or bone marrow to any patient they may match, at any time.
The clinic takes place at Mowbray House Surgery on Malpas Road, Northallerton, from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 19.
