A FOOD company is promoting small food producers in North Yorkshire in a campaign designed to tell people where its products come from.
Moorsfresh, in Pickering, is showcasing the stories of its producers through a series of Provenance information cards.
They have been written by well-known chef Richard Fox and will be displayed in hotels, restaurants, farm shops and delis supplied by Moorsfresh.
Tony Cooke, joint managing director of Moorsfresh, said: "Provenance is shorthand for real food, produced by people who are passionate about what they do.
"It will provide a tour of some of the best food Yorkshire has to offer and will give people a real flavour of the level of artisanship that is alive and kicking in this part of the world."
The series begins with a focus on Roger Hebdon, a rare-breeds meat producer near Thirsk, and will also feature people producing everything from apples and asparagus, buffalo milk cheeses and free-range chickens, through to venison and Whitby lobsters.
