Darlington bring the curtain down on a traumatic season when they visit old foes Scunthorpe United tomorrow.
David Hodgson's side will be hoping to bow out on a high note after they failed to give their fans much to cheer in last Saturday's final home game against Swansea City.
Quakers were able to relax knowing they were safe from relegation, but the Swans showed more desire to secure a 2-1 victory.
The visitors went ahead early in the second half through Paul Connor and Kevin Nugent restored their lead after Danny Graham got on the end of substitute Barry Conlon's flick on to equalise.
Tomorrow's opponents have also flirted with relegation, but dodged the drop when Carlisle failed to win at home to Cheltenham last Saturday.
The Iron are one point behind Darlington and Hodgson will be anxious to finish above them before trying to build a winning team for next season.
With the club's future still very uncertain, the manager may find it difficult to strengthen the squad.
But he will be keen to build on the promise shown by young players such as Joey Hutchinson, while talks have also begun with Middlesbrough with a view to re-signing Graham on a year-long loan next season.
