OFFICIALS from Darlington Borough Council are planning to attend a national conference on local authority standards.
The third Annual Assembly of Standards Committees takes place in Birmingham, on September 13 and 14.
Representatives from Darlington are expected to be there, to be brought up to date with the latest issues affecting standards of councils and councillors.
Borough solicitor Paul Kearsley said: "Although the assembly runs over two days, it will undoubtedly provide an opportunity to update members and monitoring officers in current issues relating to standards matters and to network with others who have an active interest in standards committee matters
