Thornaby Mandale 1 Kings Head 2: The King's Head title push stayed on track but only just with super sub Brian Crawley scoring twice late in the game against Mandale to secure the vital three points.
Mandale had taken the lead in the 20th minute when David Hindmarsh got on the end of a pinpoint centre from Steve Lambert. Hindmarsh fired home from 12 yards out giving the King's Head keeper no chance.
The visitors battled hard to get back into a very evenly fought game but it was not until 15 minutes from the end that Crawley brought them back on level terms from the penalty spot.
Just five minutes of the match remained when Crawley scored the winner. breaking into the area before firing low into the bottom corner.
NS Bulls Head 0 Middlesbrough PO 7
Victory for the King's Head in their remaining three fixtures would ensure the title but waiting in the wings should they slip up are Middlesbrough Post Office who coasted to an easy win against bottom club Bull's Head.
Two goals apiece from John Symon and Paul Davies helped the Posties to a four goal lead at half time.
Paul McGlade and John Leach made their contribution with a goal each but Terry Walker scored the goal of the game volleying home from 25 yards out.
PJS 2 Linx Hemlington 4
Linx led 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from James Myers and Damion McNeil.
Myers beat three defenders before finding the back of the net and another solo run from McNeil put Linx in control.
PJS came out fighting in the second half however and brought the game back all square with a diving header and by capitalizing on a defensive error.
Linx kept their composure and sealed the victory with two goals in the space of a minute. Peter King restored Linx Hemlington's lead before Myers scored his second of the game slotting the ball into the corner of the net.
South Park Rangers 1 St Mary's College OB 3
League Cup finalists St. Mary's College maintained their recent good form with two first half goals setting them on their way to victory.
Ten minutes after the restart, rangers pulled a goal back when Ben Hayne headed home a cross from Paul White.
Woodmans Arms 3 South Bank United 1
Jason Peel pounced capitalised on a defensive error to give the Woodmans the lead on twenty minutes and soon after, Mark Jones put the home side in control with a brilliant strike from the edge of the area. Chris Mothersill added a third midway through the second before Graham Watson gave the scoreline a touch of respectability converting from the penalty spot with ten minutes remaining.
