Killinghall Arms defeated Blackhall Hardwick 3-2 to win the Robson-Pattison Cup. The first half belonged to Killingworth they took an early lead when Neil Howie scored and should have increased it but Davy Thompson's spot kick was brilliantly saved by Blackhall's keeper Colin Haggie.
The restart saw Blackhall come back into the game, they quickly levelled through Kevin Pearn and then went 2-1 in the lead courtesy of a goal from Freeman. With less than 15 minutes remaining. Killingworth rallied and in a grandstand finish scored twice through Paul Hodgson and Michael Kearney to go 3-2 up and win the cup.
In the Alan Spedding Cup Semi-Final Division One champions Wardley Green defeated Grindon Broadway 1-0 and now meet Newton Aycliffe in the final.
In the Premier the relegation situation concerns three teams Owton Manor, Darlington Croft and Blackhall. Darlington lost 3-2 at home to third-placed Marden. Marden opened the scoring but Croft quickly levelled through Mark Smith. Marden stormed back and scored two further goals to lead 3-1 at the interval. The restart saw a spirited fightback by Croft. Mark Smith scored his second goal of the match to make it 3-2 but despite heavy pressure Croft just could not find a way through Marden's defensive barrier.
Holywell Fax Ox still have hopes of finishing runners-up, they won 3-0 away to the Lord Seaham who look doomed to relegation.
Champions Steels SC were in fine form, they won 4-1 at home to Penshaw and now are 11 points clear at the top.
In Division One Hartlepool Catholic Club ended their season on a high note by winning 5-2 away to relegated Wallsend Rising Sun.
In Division Two Wynyard Veterans stayed top despite losing 4-2 away to Hylton Castle who are in fourth spot, should they win their last game against Red House they could pip Gateshead Greencroft on goal difference. On the other hand Wynyard are now promoted but whether as champions depends on the outcome of their final game.
Red House with two games left could pip them, won 2-0 at home to Gateshead Greencroft and ended their season by defeating Wingate 6-0 at home. They are in third spot and could gain promotion should Red House defeat Hylton Castle.
Division Three is still open to leaders Houghton Cricket Club dropped three vital points by losing 1-0 away to Hartlepool RNC who are fighting desperately to ward off relegation.
British Telecom move into second spot they won 2-0 at home to Boldon.
Hed-Deneside are still on course, they won 4-3 away to Houghton Mill Inn. At one period they trailed 0-2 but fought back to lead 3-2 at the break. After the restart Paul Grey levelled for the Mill but Hed-Deneside scored the winner with the last kick of the game.
In Division Four the champions Peterlee won 4-1 away to Trimdon Veterans and are now eight points clear.
Thornley Celtic are sure of promotion, they won 5-4 away to bottom of club Half Way House in a terrific game. The House led 2-0 at one point courtesy of a brace from Tommy Smith. Thornley pulled back just on half time. Ward made it 3-1 after the restart then 3-2, Chris Halls 35-yard drive made it 4-2 to the House and then Thornley levelled and took over to run 5-4 away winners.
Pennywell Comrades destroyed Winstons 6-1 and more into third sport well on course to gain promotion.
