Darlington Kim Chung Do was honoured at the weekend by a seminar instructed by Martial Arts expert Grand Master Kim Yong Ho.
Master Kim, a 9th Dan in Taekwondo, travelled to Kim Chung Do's Central Dojang in Gladstone Street, Darlington, from Paris to teach over 100 Taekwondo enthusiasts from all over Britain.
Chief Instructor of Kim Chung Do UK, Master Ron Brennan said: "It was a great privilege to get such a high standard of instruction as Master Kim teaches all over the world mostly only to high graded black belts.
"All the students were really impressed and inspired by his seminar."
Kim Chung Do students also travelled to Doncaster over the weekend to take part in the bi-annual black belt grading hosted by Master Kim. The following students were promoted to 1st Dan black belts: Janet Smith, Darlington; James Thorpe, Darlington; Tom Smith, Darlington; Travis Bacon, Darlington; Naomi Denton, Darlington; Ashley Gibson, Eastbourne; Chanelle Whithorn, Stephenson Way; Emily Dargue, Stephenson Way and James Whittaker, Bishop
Promoted to 2nd Dan black belt were: Marty Gallagher, Darlington; Hannah Hatfield, Newton Aycliffe and Robbie Bates, Darlington.
