LISTENERS to a regional radio station will have the chance to design their playlist on a CD to be released this year.
Magic 1152 is handing over the reins to the people of the North-East and letting them decide which songs should appear on the CD.
It will be in shops in the summer.
The station's managing director, Sally Aitchison, said: "The general consensus of opinion from research carried out by the station suggests that there is a lot of interest in giving the opportunity to our loyal listeners to choose their favourite tunes.
"Everyone has an all-time favourite song, and by allowing the public to vote for theirs, it shows that we are giving our listeners what they want, even when they are not tuned into the station."
To vote, look out for forms in the local Press.
