Crook Cup Finals: The two finals produced very one-sided matches with the beaten teams only managing to take one point. The First Division title went to Crook Travellers Rest B with a win over Crook Surtees, whilst the Second Division Cup went to Crook Coach and Horses B.
Crook Surtees lone point came from Chris Bainbridge when he took a dominoes singles. The Travellers had a snooker point and a dominoes point from Michael Burke, Jimmy Singlewood and Jim Ainsley, whilst Neil Campbell added a snooker point and Bill Fairhurst a dominoes.
A dominoes singles point from Doug Smailes was all the Crook Queen's Head A could manage against Crook Coach and Horses B. The Coach had snooker and dominoes points from David Stephenson and David Haygarth, whilst Jeff Sneath, Les Scott and Gerald Parkin won snooker points and Peter Wellings and Doug McCarthy added dominoes points.
Willington Ladies League
Ithe semi-finals of the Double Darts Championship, the league champions, Willington Club B edged into the final with an odd point win at Hunwick Joiners Arms. Willington Market prevented a Club derby in the final when they travelled to Willington Club A and won by the odd point.

Wear Valley League
This new league hopes to be up and running on May 18 after their inaugural meeting found seven teams interested. The league is only going to run with eight teams maximum in the first season so another interested team from licensed premises is invited to telephone Brett Fleming on 01388 745641 to discuss the possibility.
The new league will operate with five darts singles of three legs of 501 each, five dominoes singles with players playing the best of nine legs and ten pool singles, with a captain's decider if the scores are level.
The teams already entered are Willington Black Horse Tavern, Crook King's Head, Willington Brewer's Droop, Hunwick Quarry, Willington Burn, Ushaw Moor and Willington Cottles.
CIU League
The qualifiers for the second stage of the Darts Singles Championship are: Paul Knighton (Crook Belle Vue), Dale Richardson (Cockton Hill), John Ward (Crook Belle Vue), Chris Kitch (Cockton Hill), Ray Scott (Byers Green), Trevor Kerr (Byers Green), Paul Morgan (Crook Belle Vue) and Doug McCarthy (Crook Belle Vue).
The first stage of the Darts Doubles Championship produced two pairs going through to Finals Night. Gary Taylor and Eddie Ashman (Ferryhill) beat Bobby Usher and Colin Barron (Crowtrees) 3-2 in the quarter final and followed it with a 3-2 victory over Paul Knighton and Bobby Lauder (Crook Belle Vue). In the quarter final Knighton and Lauder beat Paul McGuire and Bobby Stubbs 3-1.
In the other semi-final Willy Percival and Mark Farmer beat John Ward and Gordon Dodds (Crook Belle Vue) 3-0 after Ward and Dodds had beaten John Garland and Kevin Richardson 3-2.
At the other venue Ray Scott and Steve Thomspon beat Paul Morris and Tommy McAloon 3-1, whilst Tom Ward and Ron Douthwaite (Cockton Hill) beat the Newfield pair.
Magnet League
The last eight of the darts individuals KO competition will be played down to one winner on Friday, May 14 at the Railway Institute. MC, Mr R Watson, deadline 8pm. Substitutes are not allowed.
C Gill (Havelock A) v A Bennett (Navy); M Baker (Caledonian) v K Bradding (RA) or S Ireland (Havelock A); T Octon (Caledonian) v J Goddard (Hole in the Wall); G Davison (Caledonian) v J Bannister (Caledonian).
The preliminary round of the 5s and 3s team KO competition will be played on Monday, May 17, deadline 8.30pm. Please not that the 5s and 3s team KO is now 7-a-side.
Draw: Killinghall v Grey Horse BT A); Havelock B v Rolling Mills B; Rolling Mills A v Archdeacon; Grey Horse BT B v Hospital SC; Builders v Grey Horse Hau.
The remaining teams have byes into the first round to be played on Monday, May 24.
Winners of the matches in this round and subsequent rounds must get results to Colin Holmes by Wednesday following the match. Captains of the teams still in the competition to telephone Colin Holmes on (01325) 489801 between 5.30-7.30pm on the Friday prior to the next round to get details of the draw.
