A CONCERT is being held at a Teesside museum tomorrow.
The Avison Ensemble, a period orchestra from Newcastle which has been inspired by Tyneside composer Charles Avison, will perform at Preston Hall Museum, in Eaglescliffe.
The concert is called A Classical Treasure Trove, and the ensemble hopes to give performances of music it believes has never been heard before.
Gordon Dixon, director of the ensemble, said: "We have so far identified more than 36 brand new concertos in valuable manuscripts which have never been published before.
"These works are not only by Charles Avison, but by other major Baroque composers such as Scarlatti, Hasse and Geminiani, all copied out or arranged by Avison himself."
The Avison Ensemble's 12 string players are drawn from professional orchestras nationwide and is led by violinist Pavlo Beznosiuk.
Tickets cost £15 and £12 and are available from Stockton's Tourist Information Centre in the town's central library.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
