Stillington The Royal and Shildon Elm Road WMC had their usual tight encounter with the home side coming out 4-2 victors.
Mark Warnes put Royal ahead with Thomas Louden equalising. Royal had a good spell, scoring three through Paul Cleary, sub Lee O'Connell and a cracking free kick by Warnes. Elm plodded on and were rewarded when Craig Dawson netted.
It was a closer affair than the 6-2 score suggests between the two Darlington sides Stadia and Archdeacon. The only goal to separate the sides at the interval went to Ian Thompson of Archdeacon. The game swung Archdeacon's way when they scored three goals in a ten minute spell. 'Deacon's goals came via Neil Blewitt (2), Adam Flynn, James Howlett and a second for Thompson. Anthony Pepper replied for Stadia.
Tindale WMC's backlog of fixtures is dwindling and they're on course to lift the title. Visitors Darlington The Mowden could only field a depleted side and went down 7-0. Billy Latcham led the scoring with four, one apiece fell to Gary Whittaker, Craig Burbeck and Paul Wymer.
* The League Cup Final between Darlington Archdeacon and Darlington The Mowden will be played on the RA Ground, Brinkburn Road, Darlington on Tuesday, May 11 (6-30pm).
