NORTH Yorkshire lingerie internet entrepreneur, Sally Robinson of Ample Bosom, was on hand to launch a new service for business travellers at Swinton Park, near Masham.
The luxury castle hotel is the latest in a growing band to join forces with Swisscom-Eurospot, Europe's leading provider of wireless broadband internet connections, establishing the new and up-to-the-minute in and around the castle, where about 50 business guests "road-tested" the new technology at the launch.
Introducing the new service with Mrs Robinson, Swisscom- Eurospot's UK managing director, Chris Brown, said: 'This technology will soon be a prerequisite for serious business travellers and leisure visitors. It will be particularly attractive to companies holding conferences at the hotel, providing internet access at speeds faster than in their own offices.
"Colleagues at a conference will also be able to have their own 'virtual network' in the hotel to share information, as they might when back at base.
"The technology's simple to use too, with no wires or configuration required. With an Intel Centrino mobile technology-based laptop, it's as easy as switching on and logging in."
Mrs Robinson added: "We owe our business success to the power of the internet and anything that simplifies access has got to be a positive move."
Welcoming the new service, Swinton Park owner Mark Cunliffe-Lister said: "This is a real advance, even for those with little computer knowledge, and I am sure it will add value to our service standards."
