A YOUNG man who helped to steal £500 of electrical goods was made the subject of an anti-social behaviour order yesterday at Newcastle Crown Court.
David McGough, 19, was linked to the raid at Tadcaster Road, Thorney Close, Sunderland, on August 30 last year, by DNA left at the scene.
The owner's home had been "trashed" during the break-in.
McGough, who also lives in Tadcaster Road, said his role in the raid was to stand at the window and take the goods out.
Defence barrister Robin Patton said McGough had now been making good progress since finding a job.
Judge Michael Taylor sentenced him to a community punishment order for 150 hours and ordered McGough to pay £200 compensation to his victim
