Visitors from all over the country are expected to visit North Yorkshire to see a craftwork exhibition.
The Pavilions of Harrogate will host the fourth Parchment Craft Exhibition on May 22. It will highlight skills which date from before the 12th Century and originated in Columbia.
Embossing and perforating designs on to paper was first used by nuns to decorate religious books and manuscripts.
Organiser Dorothy Holness said: "Our exhibitions have gone from strength to strength, so we decided to look at the Pavilions of Harrogate."
Demonstrations will include lacework, embossing and colouring the parchment using inks, paints and oil pastels.
The doors open at 10am and tickets are £5 on the day and £4 in advance. For details call Mrs Holness on (01423) 568636.
