AFTER four months of intensive rehearsal, the 150-strong cast of Stagestruck are making their final preparations before their big night.
The musical, which has performers as young as three and pensioners in their seventies, will be performed for one day only.
There will be two shows at Middlesbrough Theatre, on Sunday, at 2pm and 6.30pm and both are expected to be a sell-out.
It will be staged by the Thornton Academy of Dance and Performing Arts, near Middlesbrough, and any money it raises will go to various charities.
One local cause to benefit will be 15-year-old Daniel Woodhouse, from Stainton, near Middlesbrough. Daniel, who was born with a condition which means his bones do not grow, was left a quadriplegic after surgery last November. Money is being raised to provide a wheelchair, mobile bed and sensory equipment for him.
Tickets for Stagestruck cost £6 and £4 for children or concessions. To book or for more information, call Middlesbrough Theatre on (01642) 815181.
