FANS of Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell have snapped up tickets for two of his shows in the North-East after they queued for up to four days.
About 20 admirers spent four days outside Harrogate International Centre, North Yorkshire, to make sure of their seats for the October 16 and 17 concerts.
Some people were camping out in shifts, and one of the fans said: "We put the queue for Wimbledon tickets in the shade."
O'Donnell appears almost annually at the centre and has consistently performed before sell-out audiences of 2,000.
Tickets went on sale at 9am on Saturday and by the time the office closed at 5.30pm, both concerts were sold out.
A centre spokeswoman said: "We have had somebody in tears this morning, but there is just nothing we can do. There is certainly a lot of disappointed people about."
