A £100 reward is being offered to anyone in Stockton who supplies information about fly-tippers that leads to a successful prosecution.
People are urged to help combat fly-tipping and fly-posting, which blight neighbourhoods.
The request follows a successful Bank Holiday weekend, when members of Stockton Borough Council's enforcement team patrolled the Portrack Lane area of the town with a marked vehicle and a Care For Your Area waste vehicle.
Fifteen notices were served and billboards and fly-posters were removed.
Operation Spider will continue and retailers are reminded they can take advantage of responsible advertising, including the sponsorship of specially designed litterbins.
Anyone who sees people putting up posters or placards on road signs or light columns and can provide descriptions or registrations, is asked to contact (01642) 391959.
All calls will be treated in confidence.
