More than 1,600 people have visited the Anne Frank exhibition in Sunderland.
It was opened at Crowtree Leisure Centre on April 28 by Auschwitz survivor Arek Hersh.
The exhibition, which gives a unique insight into the life of a young girl during the Nazi regime in the Second World War, runs until May 20 and admission is free.
Event organiser Jane Hall, the city council's assistant head of culture and tourism, said: "Group bookings have exceeded our expectations and all daytime sessions are now fully booked.
Many schools and reading clubs have taken the opportunity to book visits.
Ms Hall said: "We are keen to encourage as many people as possible to experience this important event and can arrange for tours for other groups wishing to attend during evening sessions.''
In association with the exhibition, the University of Sunderland is showing the acclaimed Roman Polanski film The Pianist tonight in the Sir Tom Cowie Lecture Theatre at the university's St Peter's Campus.
