STAFF at a heart clinic have received national recognition.
The County Durham One-Stop Heart Failure Clinic, in Bishop Auckland General Hospital, was given a national award at the recent Coronary Heart Disease Collaborative Conference, in London, for presentation and early diagnosis.
The service offered at the clinic benefits patients with chronic heart disease. Since it was established in January 2001, more than 450 patients have been helped.
Patsy Crawley, of Durham Dales Primary Care Trust, said: "We are absolutely delighted that the clinic has been recognised with this award. It is a credit to the hard work put in by the staff."
