A number of matches had already been rescheduled because Middlesbrough were at home and in the event only one game went ahead when Norton hosted Hinderwell in Division One, writes Malcolm Pratt.
After restricting Norton to 106 for eight Hinderwell won by ten wickets.
Tait top scored with 31 and although three others reached double figures not one passed the 20 mark as Norton struggled on a rain affected wicket.
Swain bowled well for Hinderwell taking five of the eight wickets to fall for just 37 runs and Theaker picked up two of the other wickets at a cost of 50 runs.
When they replied, Hinderwell surged to victory as Spence carried his bat for 71 and his opener partner Hicks finished unbeaten on 26. Hinderwell collected the maximum 25 points while Norton gained just two. Hinderwell top division one with a win and a draw from their first two games and have 31 points, four more than second placed Norton.
In Division Two, Brotton, Loftus, Normanby Parklands and Skelton Castle all have 12 points.
