TELEVISION gardener Alan Titchmarsh and broadcaster Simon Jenkins have been announced as the after-dinner speakers at a cathedral fundraising event.
They will speak at the Ripon Cathedral Development Campaign's Angel Dinner, in the cathedral on October 1.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Angel Voices appeal for the cathedral's Music Foundation.
Judith Donovan, executive chairman of Ripon Cathedral Development Campaign, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have these two wonderful speakers to make this year's Angel Dinner even better than last.
"We raised £10,000 last year for the nave roof and we hope to substantially increase this year's contribution for the Music Foundation to maintain the choral tradition in the cathedral."
Tickets for the dinner cost £65, or £600 for a table of ten. Requests for tickets should be made to the Ripon Cathedral Development Campaign, East Wing House, Minster Road, Ripon, HG4IQS.
