Foster's Northumberland Tyneside Senior League, Under-18 Cup: Shotley Bridge romped home at Crookhall without losing a wicket, writes Malcolm Pratt.

With a target of 75, they were indebted to Rourke for his 48 and to Grinter who carried his bat for 18 out of a total of 75 for none.

When they batted first Crookhall ended with 74 for four on top which included 31 by Michael Thompson and 29 from Nicky Curran. Nesbitt top performed in the Shotley attack - claiming three of the four wickets to fall for only 15 runs in five overs.

Under-15s

Lintz had nine wickets to spare defeating Shotley Bridge who managed just 34 all out, writes Malcolm Pratt. Andrew Smith carried his bat for 25 out of the Lintz total of 37 for one. Earlier, Smith also starred with the ball capturing four wickets for just 12 runs.

Chris Gray returned three for 14 and Thomas Foster claimed the other three wickets for just three runs.

Greenside overtook the Whickham total of 103 for four with half their wickets intact while Sacriston beat Lanchester by nine wickets.

Lincoln with three for nine, played the leading role when Lanchester managed only 62 for five before Sacriston went on to win conceding just one wicket. Hockaday ended on 37 with seven boundaries.

Although they faced a target of just 58, Swalwell had to work hard for a two wickets victory at home to Consett. Williamson top scored with 21 in the Consett total of 57 for eight and for the home side, Todd Harrison captured four wickets for just 13 runs in five overs. Harrison then performed well with the bat for Swalwell hitting four boundaries in 32 out a total of 59 for eight. Huntsman was in good form with the ball for Consett returning an analysis of three for 20 from five overs.

Federation Special Durham Senior League Under-18s

Low scores were the order of the night when batsmen faced rain affected wickets, writes Malcolm Pratt.

The smallest was recorded by Felling who totalled 44 for the loss of seven wickets at Burnmoor who went on to win by eight wickets.

Philadelphia's batsmen faired only marginally better being dismissed for 50 by Durham City who won with 31 runs to spare. Berwick Hall, who figured in Phili's Premier League side at the weekend, top scored with 24 and when Durham batted first and totalled 81 Jonathan Loach claimed three for 17 and Thomas Raine three for 13.

Gateshead Fell were restricted to 52 for eight by South Hetton. Carl Gippet took half of the wickets ending with four for 16 in five overs before South Hetton replied with 53 for six. Gary Burlinson scored more than half the runs ending unbeaten with 30 and for Gateshead Fell, Smith bowled a good end compiling three for 13.

There was no play at Ropery Lane where Chester-le-Street were due to meet Whitburn.
