FOUR Darlington councillors who have notched up 100 years' service between them will share a celebratory dinner tonight.
Councillors John Williams, Bill Dixon, Frank Robson and Tony Richmond have each served the borough council for 25 years and will mark their anniversary with a meal at Hall Garth Country House Hotel, Coatham Mundeville.
Coun Williams, 56, council leader, was first elected on to the authority in 1979 and was mayor in 1994-1995.
Coun Dixon, 51, deputy council leader, was also elected in 1979 and was mayor in 1999-2000.
Coun Robson, 80, planning committee chairman, was elected in 1979 and was mayor in 1995-1996
Councillor Richmond, 64, Conservative leader, was first elected in 1976 but lost his seat. He later won a by-election in the College ward, where he has remained ever since.
