STUDENTS will turn news- hounds for the day next week, to record a school event.
Blackfyne School, in Consett, holds its annual Multi-Cultural event on Wednesday.
It features 30 speakers from ethnic minority communities, different religious denominations and youth groups, who will conduct a series of workshops.
A group of 15 English students will have until 2.30pm to publish a newspaper about the event so the speakers can have a copy.
English teacher Yvette Humphries, who is leading the project, said: "They have to report, photograph and cover every item we have in school. They will really be under pressure."
