PRE-SCHOOL children are looking forward to decorating their play yard after receiving a cash boost from supermarket staff.
Children at Byerley Road Pre-school are settling into their new premises, in The Mission Hall, Shildon.
On Thursday, staff from Asda Bishop Auckland visited the children and staff at the nursery armed with £50-worth of cleaning products from Persil, Domestos and Cif, and a cheque for £250.
The presentation followed a cleaning promotion by the South Church Road store.
Manager of the pre-school Susan Calvert said: "We are a community enterprise who would not be able to do what we are doing without the support of others.
"We are going to develop the outside play area. We have a lot of space outside which is enclosed and ideal for the children. We only moved here around three weeks ago and we have had a lot of support from a lot of people, and we are very grateful to everyone.''
