THE Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes' Heart-Le-Pool Lodge has presented a DVD player and television to ward 14 of the University Hospital of Hartlepool's mental health unit.
Lodge members raised £1,000 in the past year by taking part in a Boxing Day dip, a Christmas raffle and making donations to its charity fund.
Some of the money was used to buy the equipment for the ward, where a lodge member's wife works.
Joanna Forster Adams, general manager for the hospital, said: "We are delighted at the lodge's generosity and this gift will make a real difference to the people we care for."
